| Starting with a single hue, you will create three separate scales, each with at least 10 steps. One scale will consist of tints of the hue, arranged so that the scale progresses evenly from the hue to the color white. One scale will consist of shades of the hue, arranged so that the scale progresses evenly from the hue to the color black. And one scale will consist of tones of the hue, arranged so that the scale progresses evenly from the hue to a gray that is equal in value to the hue. Please note that by using a gray that is equal in value to the starting hue, your tone scale will remain constant in value throughout, while just changing in saturation. Use the same hue for all three scales, and use a hue other than that shown in the example. | ||||
